Outfit Details:
Treasure & Bond Blazer , Victoria Secret Cami ,
Madewell Jeans , Vince Camuto Heels , and Madewell Purse
This past weekend Patrick and I took full advantage and went to the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art (LACMA). We have actually never been inside to see the exhibits even though this is the exact spot where Patrick proposed to me. You will never believe what pajamas item I decided to wear out in public and how chic and feminine it actually looked with the entire outfit.

This cute little silk cami is actually part of a Victoria Secret cami and shorts pajama set. It was the perfect top to wear underneath this blazer. Its feminine and delicate. Plus I have been on the lookout for a silk cami and all of the ones I try on seem to gape under my arms and do not fit right. This was the perfect fix! And an awesome way to just utilize what I already had at home.

Still obsessed with this blazer (last seen here)! And hello blazers are no longer a thing of the office. I loved layering it over this feminine top to create structure and give some bold pattern. Paired with my high waist Madewell jeans to keep the look casual and added these fun simple heels. So far they are super comfortable and easy to wear for long hours.

Madewell Jeans , Zara Jacket , Madewell Crossbody ,
Urban Outfitters Tee (old, similar here) , and Aerosoles Flats
This past weekend was all about yummy tacos!! Patrick and I had a friend visiting from out of town for the weekend and it was so nice to catch up over lunch. A casual lunch calls for a casual outfit of jeans and a tee. But I have been struggling with the crop tees, sweaters, or shirts that I want to wear and not show any skin. Hello, I am about to devour tacos, so I need a bit of help with not showing the tummy lol. High waist jeans was a must and I found the best fitting pair!

Having the best fitting jeans is a must and seems like a basic requirement for your wardrobe. I have found the perfect pair of skinny jeans (see this post here), but was on the hunt for a flattering high waist jean. I love Madewell because the have two types of high waist heights (9" and 10") so it makes it easier to customize to what fits your waist and body best. I love these 10" waist jeans because it hugs right at the skinniest part of my waist and is super flattering. I also highly suggest investing in a pair of high waist jeans because it lets you wear any crop tops or shirts that don't fully come all the way down to work or any modest environment. It has been a closet game changer for me!

Plus if you donate an old pair of jeans, you can get $20 OFF your purchase.

To continue my casual denim look, I paired this simple black and cream stripe crop tee with thisolive green utility jacket from Zara. Simple and casual and the crop tee and jacket work so nicely with the 10" high waist pants. I also accessorized with these uber comfortableflats from Aerosoles and added a bit of girly glam from this Madewell bag. Simple and easy. What are your go to casual outfit options? Comment below.

defend your skin against winter

Products:
Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
As the winter months progress and outside continues to be cold and dry, my skin looses its moisture fast. Especially being in Southern California, I have struggled trying to keep my skin hydrated without becoming oily. I have tried some moisturizers and masks over the past two years and none seemed to give me the exact results I wanted. Moisturized skin that is smooth and hydrated at the touch without being oily, sticky, or feel gross. And of course, not cause any additional breakouts or irritation. And alas, I have found the perfect moisture surge!!

I saw that Clinique had a new 72 hour moisture surge cream and I was curious to give it a try. I have previously used Clinique products and have had good results while in the South. However, as I can be with all new beauty products, it is hard to pull the trigger to purchase a moisturizer or cream that could end up being a waste of money. When I found a 1/2 oz bottle for only $12 it was the perfect way to try the product, so I did. I have been using the cream for 2 weeks now and can already tell a difference. My skin is baby soft and does not get extra oily. I typically put it on twice a day during the winter months for extra hydration. Once during the morning, leaving about 10 min to dry and soak in before applying make up, and once at night before bed after I have washed my face. I seriously cannot imagine my skin without it now.
