Summer is here and is starting to heat up fastttt! This past weekend in Los Angeles, I endured a heat wave with temperatures reaching 105... eek! Especially when I lived in the South, weather has always compromised or strained my ability to pick cute outfits while staying cool and not sweating to death. I have learned a few trick of the trades over the years and an A line linen dress is your perfect solution.
For hot heat or humid weather, it is best to have an A line dress that lightly drapes over your body rather than being tight or form fitting, like this flounced hemline halter or thisbutton front mini. It allows for any breeze to circulate and hopefully keep you cool. Second important thing to remember when picking out the perfect dress for Summer, is the color and fabric. When (not if) you start to sweat, you do not want to be caught with sweat marks on your clothes. That is why a light colored linen is perfect like this red & cream dress or this button dress. No one will even know lol.
I also threw up my hair into a bun to help with the heat as well. I added this adorable bow scrunchie to give it a little bit extra. I am loving these scrunchies because they are easy to use and instantly make up-dos pop.
