I always love neutral colors and tend to gravitate towards those when selecting clothing pieces. Especially because they tend to be easier to make outfits with. But what would your outfit look like if you used the same color to style a complete look? I think it is an elevated and chic look to items you already have in your closet.
The trick to pulling off a monochrome look is to make sure you:
- Pick colors that are not exactly the same but within the same shade. Notice here I chose soft tans and nudes and stayed away from deep chocolate browns
- Try and mix and match textures to get some dimension in your look. For example, I chose a chunky sweater with a more fitting and sleek skirt.
- Lastly, just have fun with it! There’s really no right and wrong, so just grab some pieces from your closet that are within the same color pallet and try it!

It seems that I end up grabbing a jacket as I am flying out the door for dinner or a night out more and more often these days. The nights are still pretty cool in Los Angeles especially if I am wearing a tank top. My go to night time jacket is this light pink leather jacket. It's still feminine and flirty yet chic and edgy.
I love this new feminine twist to a classic black leather jacket. And honestly the light color fits my style and personality better too! Most of my outfits match lighter color pallets. I love pairing it with an all dark outfit and light shoes to really make it pop. And since it is a light pink color, it also works well during the day and is excellent at blocking the wind or a slight sprinkle type of day.
Sometimes it is nice to take a night out on the town and get all dressed up. And that is exactly what I did last week and had a blast. Whether you have something to celebrate, a drink with the girls, or a fancy evening coming up, having that go to perfect little black dress is a must. And this one is perfect for any occasion and is super flattering!
If you are ever in Downtown Los Angeles, I highly recommend going to Spire 73. It is one of the tallest open air rooftop bar and has some breathtaking views of the entire city! It is a fancy night out with a yummy cocktail selection. We decided to take a night here to celebrate our progress and promotions within our careers. I love how this dress hits right above my knees and also has a square neckline to stay conservative yet the silhouette fit was on point! The material is movable and has the cutest back lace up strap detailing.
