I feel like more and more during the March and April months, I walk outside one day and its sunny, the next is raining, and the next is a freezing cold windy day. You feel me?! Picking out clothes with this ever changing weather can be difficult and frustrating. You need transitional pieces from cold to warm that are easy to layer like this velvet cami from Madewell.
I try to find transitional pieces that have a bit of spring yet still has some winter in them. If you are confused lol here is what I am talking about. This velvet cami is darker in color with a rich winter texture of velvet, yet it is a cami perfect for spring or layering under a jacket. I love the button details, it just adds some extra femininity to the outfit. I also recently posted this long sleeve top that has pastel stripes (post seen here) , that is also the perfect transitional piece.

I have learned this simple trick. This Valentine's day, I decided to take a classic outfit and add a pop of neon pink. I took a simple white blouse with high waist blue jeans and literally just added a little bit of color to make the whole outfit. It was the perfect fix.
I tied a knot at the bottom of this cute silky white blouse and paired it with my go-to high waist jeans from Madewell (last featured in this post). I wanted to add the cutest girly statement, so these bright pink heels were perfect. Adding a pop of color can be the easiest statement especially with shoes. If you do not know how to do color or always stick to simple clothes, shoes are your easiest option! I threw on this light pink leather jacket to fully complete the look.
I also decided to go crazy and live on the wild side and try a new hairstyle. This braided bun was edgy and super easy, trust me! Just separate the very bottom section of hair and then put the rest into a normal top knot. Then braid two sections from the bottom up and secure with another hair tie around the bun. Spray with Tresemme hair spray to keep the look in place all night long.

This past weekend, we drove out of the city of Los Angeles and into a winter wonderland full of snow! It was so magical to experience the cold and play in the snow. I was on a mission to find not only a cozy and warm puffer, but I wanted to find a jacket with a vintage neon vibe. Because why not stand out while playing in the snow?
I got my inspiration for vintage neon from my mom in this picture above. We use to go skiing every year as a family and my mom had the coolest (even though we didn't know it at the time lol) jacket ever! I love the vintage poofer with all things neon to stand out. So I was on a mission to find a jacket just like hers and I did!
If you are local to LA and need some great vintage winter gear, go check out Melrose Trading Post. They have tons of cute neon poof jackets like this one. I would also highly suggest checking out local thrift stores or flea markets in your area. You never know what you might find. And if you are having bad luck finding one, I love these options below.
I had such a blast prancing around following Finley wander through the snow. These duck boots are great for most all "bad" weather conditions from rain and mud to snow! I love them because they have so much versatility and are not just strictly snow boots. Being in LA, I need one shoe that fits all occasions and these duck boots are just that! Layer some cozy socks underneath and you are golden.
