Patrick and I have been getting outside and enjoying the sun more often this year. One big reason is our dog, She loves chasing birds on hikes and it is a great activity we can all do together, And not to mention the great exercise! I am still consciously reminding myself to buy workout clothing since it is always an afterthought for me, And as stated in my previous post here, I am also following the trend of a neutral color pallet with athleisure wear as well. I have mainly been sticking to black, grey, rose, and green.
I lovvveee this black crop workout top! I found it at Nordstrom Rack and it is slowly becoming my favorite athleisure piece. It matches everything, and who does't love a crop to show off that stomach you've been working on at Pilates class?! Since it has been getting quite hot in the direct sunlight, I chose my black cropped leggings for this hike.
I have really gotten my money's worth out of these New Balance tennis shoes. They are comfortable and supporting of the ankles which is perfect for the rugged terrain on Hermit Falls hike. I also can track my heart rate and monitor my exercise using my Apple watch. It is the ideal accessory for outdoorsy activities.
Towards the end of our hike, it started to get chillier so I brought this lightweight plaid button down to throw on over my crop top (last seen here). I almost always bring this light weight option just in case I happen to get a bit cold, and it is perfect to just tie around my waist if I am not using it.
And I couldn't complete the post without showing Finley enjoying the hike!

I have been wanting to update my athleisure and workout wear for quite some time now. But for some reason, when shopping for clothes, shoes, accessories, etc I completely forget to look at leggings, sports bras, and workout tanks. Thankfully, my husband remembered me casually mentioning this (he has the best memory ever!) and bought me an outfit for Christmas this year.
On top of never remembering to purchase athletic clothes, I have never invested in a few key, top quality pieces either. These ALO hunter green leggings are the perfect investment piece. They differ from the average black or grey but are still neutral in color and pretty much match everything. The side stripes add a pop of sophistication which truly makes this outfit easy to transition from Pilates to coffee hangout. Hence, the "athleisure" wear ha! These are so comfortable! ALO also has the matching sports bra as well. Patrick opted for the white option to not be one big blob of green and it complements very well. I am also a fan of the rosewater color as well.
I decided to keep the look more "athletic" and paired it with this cropped heather gray hoodie (old, similar here). And I finally got around to adding these classic Adidas to my sneaker collection as my previous embellished sneakers were falling apart. Also, these have the Cloudfoam insole that make these the most comfortable shoes!
