I always love neutral colors and tend to gravitate towards those when selecting clothing pieces. Especially because they tend to be easier to make outfits with. But what would your outfit look like if you used the same color to style a complete look? I think it is an elevated and chic look to items you already have in your closet.
The trick to pulling off a monochrome look is to make sure you:
- Pick colors that are not exactly the same but within the same shade. Notice here I chose soft tans and nudes and stayed away from deep chocolate browns
- Try and mix and match textures to get some dimension in your look. For example, I chose a chunky sweater with a more fitting and sleek skirt.
- Lastly, just have fun with it! There’s really no right and wrong, so just grab some pieces from your closet that are within the same color pallet and try it!
I love a good statement shoe that continues to be a bit understated as well. Yes I realize this sentence is completely contradicting but let me explain why and you will see why these new snake skin heels are going to be my go to shoe this season!
The reason I love these new shoes is the snake skin print really makes a fun and flirty statement, Yet they are neutral colors of black, brown, and cream so they are a perfect match to almost every outfit. And plus they are a low enough block heel so pretty comfortable and easy to wear almost anywhere.
I love a good sneaker because they are always the more comfortable option to wear when walking around and exploring or just being casual on a weekend morning. I especially love these new Nike Air Max sneakers because they are helping me get one step closer to eco friendly clothing and here is why. Plus they look adorable!!
I love that Nike has taken steps to reduce it's carbon footprint. These plant based dye Nike Sneakers are definitely a step in the right direction. And apart from the eco friendliness of these shoes, they look fantastic. I love the pastel colors fading like a rainbow swirl sunset with the terrycloth style material creating a softer more casual vibe.
