Patrick and I moved into a new apartment in DTLA right before the wedding. So now that we are back to normal life, we have started to brainstorm about how we want to decorate our apartment. First things first, our apartment needs more lighting. Idk what it is about Los Angeles apartments, but there is literally only one maybe two lights in every apartment we have looked at. And this new apartment is no exception.
This lighting fixture took some extra brain power since we could not call an electrician or drill into the ceiling. Everything had to be electrical plug in to an outlet... yes that is exactly what I said. This lighting fixture is easy for renters, dorms, and temporary condos.
Lastly, screw in your Edison globe bulbs (**do not plug into electricity on this step). Plug in your cord set to the smart socket and connect to your Google Home. That way you can say, "OK Google, turn on the table lights!". And it's easy as that :)
Easier Variation: Just buy the cord set, Edison globe bulbs, screw hooks, and smart sockets to have a simple hanging pendant light without the string design or wood and piping. This is a less invasive design if you have picky landlords or college dorm but still looks great!
Post below how your light fixture turns out. I want to see!!
