Patrick and I have had an amazing year! I will forever hold 2017 near and dear to my heart. There have been some ups and downs, and a lot of change within my life.
At the end of 2016, Patrick and I finished celebrating our engagement with getting to take these stunning photos (by Francesca) at our favorite beach, El Matador in Malibu as well as a family engagement party during the holiday break. It was so nice to enjoy our engagement with not only ourselves but close friends and family. Patrick did a fantastic job with the proposal and will be a memory we both cherish forever!
Also, my mom got the opportunity to fly to Los Angeles to go wedding dress shopping with me in Beverly Hills. This is such a special moment that I was thankful to be able to share with my mom. It was such a success that my mom ended up finding her mother-of-the-bride dress as well that weekend!
Summer began the downward roller coaster of change for both Patrick and I. Patrick graduated from UCLA with his Master's. We both got new jobs that we love (praise the Lord). And to top it off, we moved to an urban loft in downtown Los Angeles. Stay tuned in 2018 as we decorate our apartment. And I started back up the blog again (see my first post here).
Patrick and I were so grateful to have amazing friends and family to help us celebrate our big day!! We had friends from high school, college, and our new friends in Los Angeles as well as our family attend the wedding (literally everyone was able to come!!). We were so lucky to be surrounded by so much love and support. And check out these amazing photos (by Haydin Olivia Photography). I am still drooling over how perfect this day was!
At the beginning of the year, Patrick and I set a goal to reach out and create friendships and meaningful relationships in Los Angeles. It has been difficult to move to the complete opposite side of the country and create a life for ourselves. This year, we hosted a friendsgiving with our California family and realized just how thankful and lucky we truly are to have such amazing friends (check out this post here) . Los Angeles has become our home.
We received the best Black Friday deal to date this year! On Novemeber 24, we met Finley. I do not know what we would do without her sweet kisses and cuddles as well as her devious attitude (ha! yes she is like raising a teenager!). She is such a joy!! Just look at that cute face!! (check out this post here).
I am very excited to start of 2018 with my new family (Patrick & Finley) and cannot wait to make new memories with friends. Cheers to the New Year!
