Paris is absolutely by far one of my favorite places! I love everything about the laid back culture that has cafe breaks at 3pm, picnics in the park (see my last post here), and getting lost on the cobblestone streets. But I would have to say seeing the Eiffel Tower at night was mesmerizing.
That afternoon we went to a local market to get meats, cheeses, french bread, olives, and wine to have another picnic on the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower. I have seen many pictures of the Eiffel Tower, but seeing it in person is unreal. It is first off huge and you cannot help but stare! We just picked a spot on the grass and enjoyed the sunshine and kept staring up at it.
It was a bit warmer during the day and with a lot of walking so I decided to wear this denim mini skirt and a light brown sweater. For a bit extra warmth since it can get kind of chilly in late September, I threw on this yellow cardigan that I bought at a boutique in Paris. And of course my go to shoes when traveling is sneakers for ultimate comfort.
After the picnic we went to a nearby coffee shop, Kozy Bosquet, and enjoyed lattes and pastries. The must see of Paris and the Eiffle Tower is at night. Starting at sunset, every hour on the hour until 1 AM, the tower lights up. It is literally shimmering and gleaming for 5 or so minutes.
