Patrick and I just got back from traveling to Paris to celebrate Christmas in November with his parents. We went the first week of November which was a bit later into the fall season since the last time we traveled to Paris for our honeymoon. Highs were in the mid 50's and lows were in the mid 40's. This was my one week of truly getting to experience fall weather since it is still 70's in Los Angeles. I loved getting to see the fall leaves with their beautiful color! I packed using this blog post guide here.
You will very quickly notice that I pretty much wear this Zara overcoat the entire time basically because it ended up being a bit colder than I thought. Or maybe it was just my body in shock from being in 75-80 degree weather in Los Angeles when we left for Paris ha! I should have packed another large and warm coat but oh well. I wore a cream sweater, dark skinny jeans, a yellow knit scarf, and sneakers for our first day. It also rained a bit so I made sure I had my umbrella with me.
Day 2 we explored another museum and did a lot of exploring outside afterwards at the Notre Dame. The temperature was still a bit chilly and windy so I wore a similar outfit with this chunky sweater, black jeans, light knit scarf, and sneakers. And of course layered with my camel overcoat. I always love traveling in my Adidas sneakers because they are so comfortable when doing a lot of walking and standing in a museum.
On day 3 in Paris, we went shopping around a bit which is something I absolutely love doing in Paris! After a morning of shopping we got to have afternoon tea at the Peninsula Hotel! And wow what a ritzy and boujee experience it was to have tea & pastries in the cutest hotel. I chose to wear a bit dressier statement and switched my jeans for a midi pleated skirt, big poof sleeve sweater, and the same yellow/gold scarf from day one. The outfit really was tied together with my Forever21 belt bag secured on the outside of the scarf making a big statement. I wore these western inspired boots as well.
We took a day trip to Versailles which I would say was probably the trickiest outfit to plan. It was one of the colder days but dropped super low that night. We planned to be there most all day and got to watch the beautiful Parisian sunset that night. But once the sun started to go down, it was freezing and windy!! I was glad that I brought my camel overcoat, a blanket scarf, and beanie. But during the day and throughout the tour of Versailles, I wore a thick color block turtleneck sweater and my black jeans.
On our last day we went to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy a picnic on the grass and just be mesmerized with the view in front of us. The weather was actually pretty warm and sunny with a high of mid 60s. I bought this corduroy jacket at a local shop in Paris (Athina) and could not wait to wear it! I wore it over a thin, v-neck black sweater, dark skinny jeans, and my Adidas sneakers.
